Gifts of the Spirit

Recently I read, "Why Not Ask?" - a talk given by Elder Larry Lawrence at a BYU-I devotional - and decided I wanted to remember it during the holiday season of gift giving. Hence this post.

Don't be afraid to ask for gifts of the Spirit. Heavenly Father desires to give them to us, so that we can use them to help build up His kingdom on earth. I might even consider adding some of these to my list of New Year's Resolutions.

In addition to quoting some scriptures and one of my favorite Elder Marvin J. Ashton quotes, Elder Lawrence has a lot of ideas for spiritual gifts that I hadn't ever really considered before. What about you? What would you add to your list of desired gifts?
