Baptism Object Lessons

People can be quite creative! Here are a couple of object lessons we've seen used at baptism services, to help those making new covenants remember their promises. Of course, the explanation that follows is important, but I'm sure you can figure out what to say on your own if you ever use one of these ideas.

 

• A 72 hour (really a lifetime!) spiritual KIT
• Keep the commandments
• Always remember Him
• Take His name upon you

Water in a bowl (world) sprinkled with black pepper (sins and distractions of world) 

Stick finger (you) in water and the pepper sticks to you

Rub finger with soap (Holy Ghost) first, and the pepper is repelled away

Remember to let the Holy Ghost "stick" to you always!
