Without Guile

Doctrine & Covenants 41
"no guile" Whenever I hear the phrase "without guile" I think of Brad. This is one of his special characteristics.

Edward Partridge was told he had a pure heart and was like Nathanael of old (see John 1:47) because there was no guile found in him. Guile means skillful deceit or treacherous cunning; artifice, slyness, fraud, duplicity, trickery. "No guile" would be the opposite of that - openness, candor, honesty, sincerity. To me it also has the connotation of seeing only the good in others, and I think that's a wonderful quality to develop.
