Advent 3

All that we have - the air we breathe, the light by which we see - are gifts from a loving Father and his Son. In this season of giving, let us give one of the greatest gifts we can offer - a grateful, humble heart.

"As [Jesus] entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers . . .

"He said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that as they went, they were cleansed.

"And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

"And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? (Luke 17:12, 14-15, 17).

In one of your prayers today, give thanks for every blessing you can name, without asking for anything.
