Core Values

The other day Michelle shared an exercise they had done with the teachers at her school to help them identify core values, and she encouraged each of her family and friends to do the same exercise. This definitely has merit, but I needed a starting place. Her facilitator gave them a bunch of word cards, had them narrow it down to ten, then to five, and then write why each of the final five was important.

I don't know which list of words they used, but I found several in a quick Google search. I just picked three links that looked intriguing, and worked through each of them.

#1 - Career Path Values Exercise

#2 - Happiness Coach Values Exercise

#3 - Life Balance Values Worksheet

Note: Google "core values" images and you'll find a lot of pictures. This one stuck out to me because even though these particular values may not make my "top ten" list, "Show Respect" is our family motto, and because putting together a graphic list this looks like something right up Michelle's alley.
