Family history research is a never-ending project! Today's puzzle was trying to make sense of some undated notes I found in a pile of papers. My guess is I was trying to extend the family tree for Iris Potter, who married my mom's uncle,
John Herbert Wilson. Iris' great-grandfather, Frances Potter was born in 1832 in Connecticut.
I suspect I was looking for other Potter families living in Connecticut around that time period when I found Samuel Potter, born in 1823. I'm not sure how - or even if - he's related to Iris, but he is my 10th cousin, twice removed - although through my mom's father's lines and not her mother's!
My notes showed that Samuel had a son, George, who died as an infant. He wasn't in FamilySearch, but now he is. Adding another person is always rewarding!
